Our AREAS OF EXPERTISE
Windom International is a boutique executive coaching and consultation firm with the following areas of expertise:
- Promoting a successful transition from manager to leader. At the managerial level, strong analytical skills and the ability to deliver superior results often form the foundation of success. At the executive level, these skills are necessary but insufficient. A critical difference at senior levels is that executives now rely on their relationships to get the work done. This involves a careful navigation of one’s political terrain and the ability to handle competing agendas. In addition, we help managers address the most common obstacles to executive success by cultivating strategic thinking skills, developing executive poise, defining and articulating a compelling vision, and inspiring followership.
- Working with executives to repair damaged relationships through a variety of means: Fostering trust, honoring commitments, improving active listening skills, and handling disagreements tactfully. In extreme cases, this entails treating others with respect and tempering arrogance and emotional volatility.
- Cultivating effective conflict resolution and influential communication skills for expatriate and repatriated leaders working across cultures. Since 70% of our clients have offices outside the United States, we specialize in helping leaders and their families adjust smoothly to new cultures.
- Helping executives create more balance and meaning in their lives. Despite having reached the pinnacle of financial and career success, an increasing number of executives are finding that this has had unintended consequences: Deteriorating relationships, poor health, lost of community, and a spiritual void. We work with them to identify ways in which they can better align their actions and identities with their core values.
